Halloween en español: a new video lesson (and a free bingo)

¡Shh, escucha! It’s October 31, there’s a full moon, and something is moving in the dark. My new Halloween lesson is live, and it’s built around a 7-minute mystery in Spanish starring Shannon, Tiago and my real dog, Luna Dominga, in her scorpion costume.

Halloween en español: El misterio del alacrán (6:51). Spanish audio, Spanish and English captions. The animated scenes were made with AI tools under my direction; Luna Dominga is real.

What’s in the free lesson

  • 16 Halloween words with pronunciation you can hear
  • Online video bingo while you watch
  • A short story at two levels, two games, and “Mi disfraz” to describe your costume
  • How the Spanish-speaking world celebrates, and why Día de Muertos is not “Mexican Halloween”

Teachers: the lesson has a “Para docentes” tab with a plan, video chapters and strategy routes. You can also download the free printable video bingo, and when you want more, the present-tense unit (Spanish 1–2) and the preterite vs. imperfect unit (Spanish 2–3) use the same video.

¿Y tú? ¿De qué te vas a disfrazar este año? Reply and tell me, in Spanish.

¡Feliz Halloween!
